Highland HS Band & Color Guard

2018 Fall Show "How I Wander"

Highland High School Instrumental Music Boosters

The Highland High School Instrumental Music Booster Club consists of a group of adults, mainly band student parents, whose main function is to provide financial and physical support for the HHS Music Program.
We would like to encourage all parents to become members and show your support and become actively involved in the committees and fundraising projects. The boosters need many people to plan and work for the benefit of the students.

The future success and growth of the band program is dependent upon the continued support of all of our talented students and their families.

Field Shows

Call times are usually late morning to mid-afternoon depending on our scheduled performance time. Students will meet at the school and transportation to and from will be provided. General admission cost for family and friends usually runs approximately $10 per person; programs and concessions are usually available for purchase. Be sure to bring cash as some locations do not accept card. The Boosters will feed the students at least one full meal (and usually a light snack) for all out of town competitions. Students will be on their own (except for water) for all local shows. Please plan accordingly.

Field Show Scoring
Each field show (except Littlerock’s Preview Show) gets judged in the following categories: Visual Effect, Visual Performance, Percussion, Auxiliary (Guard), Music Effect, and Music Performance. These scores are used for placement within the So Cal School Band & Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) and will be posted on their website (www.scsboa.org).

We need assistance in the following areas:
Volunteers for events
The band needs your help with moving uniforms and instruments, driving trucks, chaperoning trips, and cooking food and cleaning up during all scheduled events.
Donations
The music program can use donations of various items. Musical instruments in fair or better condition are always welcome as are donations of cash or time. The Boosters utilize SignUpGenious.com to collect items for rehearsals, dinner items for game nights, and competition snacks.  Also, please see the ‘WISH LIST’ posted on the drum closet door.
Corporate donations
Many companies both large and small have policies that provide financial support for educational and community development. We are a non-profit organization and may qualify for many of these corporate contributions. The boosters can prepare any documentation necessary to assist you in applying for support from your employer.

You can make Fair Share Contribution Payments using the below "Pay Now" button via Pay Pal. (a $2 handling fee will be added at check out.)  Or if you have a Pay Pal account you can send a payment to [email protected] for any amount directly from your Bank account.
Monthly Statement Letters are emailed directly to every Members guardian .  Please Contact Renee Thresher if you are not receiving your Student's account statements.
